Maulers blast Bulls, 6-1

MISSOULA - Anders Nord and Jimmy Morris scored two goals apiece and Missoula trounced Billings 6-1 in an AWHL game Friday night at the Glacier Ice Rink
Missoula scored three first period goals, the last by Nord at the 15:47 mark to take a 3-0 lead into the first intermission. Morris had the only goal in the second period to build on the advantage for the Maulers.
Nord and Morris each tallied in the third period to give Missoula a six-goal lead before Nick Rizzo ended the shutout bid by scoring for the Bulls on the power play at the 14:32 mark.
The Maulers out-shot Billings 48-24. Missoula goalie McKinlee Baum made 23 saves for his 12th victory of the season.
The Bulls will try to make up ground Friday night in their second game against the Maulers in as many days. Faceoff is set for 7:30pm at the Glacier Ice Rink.
